Inner Wheel Bangalore has donated an ambulance to the remote tribal communities of Sri Sathya Sai Vatsalyam, located in Uyyamballi Village, Kanakapura Taluk, Karnataka. This dedicated facility focuses on basic health services, addressing common medical conditions while closely linking with local and regional health networks. This contribution aims to enhance emergency response and medical accessibility for underserved populations, especially in hard-to-reach tribal regions. Past President Rtn. P V Rai from Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar has made a generous donation of 2 lakhs for this project.

On 16th August, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar partnered with Rotary Bangalore Kanakapura Road on organising a wellness programme, where a portion of the proceeds would be donated to Visually Challenged Girls Music School. The programme started with a soulful Bharatanatyam dance performance, followed by various health sessions such as about talk on Brain Strokes by Dr. Sharath from Manipal hospital, sessions on Mental Health, Yoga, Pranic healing, followed by music performance by Visually Impaired, concluded with Sound therapy by Kumari and Kanuska. President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy, President elect Rtn. Anil Kumar, YSD Rtn. Vishwakumar and Rtn. Rakesh attended the programme.

On 21st August, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar distributed grocery kits to 25 TB patients (labourers) at Hosahalli PHC Govt Hospital. This is highly significant because labourers has significant benefits: it improves their adherence to treatment by ensuring adequate nutrition to tolerate side effects, boosts their immune system to fight the infection, helps maintain a healthy weight vital for recovery, and ultimately increases the likelihood of successful treatment completion and faster recovery.

On 22nd August, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar distributed Protein powder and Calcium D3 tablets to 20 pregnant women at Hosahalli PHC Govt Hospital. This support will extend for another 5 months. This project is aimed to improve the nutritional status of undernourished mothers and children through nutritional aid and reducing malnutrition and its associated risks. The doctors guided the women on how to use the protein powder and advised them not to miss out on taking the tablets. This project is focused on maternal and child health, to promote early childhood development.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar distributed about 1800  health cards in the 2-days health camp conducted at Siddaganga Public School, Chandra layout. These students were screened for general health, eye and dental care. A social message with RBV logo was printed on each health card thus helping the public image.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar had a joint community service project with Rotaract Bangalore Vijayanagar at BBMP Maternity Hospital, Magadi road. This project is aimed to improve the nutritional status of undernourished mothers and children through nutritional aid and reducing malnutrition and its associated risks. This project is focused on maternal and child health, to promote early childhood development. 10 sets of Nutrition Kits/Aids were distributed to the Mothers who had delivered recently.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar had a joint community project along with Rotary Magadi Central, to take up general health check up for the public, around 140 patients were scanned for BP Diabetes, ECG and Mammogram was done for 4 patients. All the above diagnosis and treatment was done by Narayana health city free of cost. This was the first of its kind doing a health camp jointly with Rotary Magadi Central, targeting the beneficiaries from the Public to create awareness about health and diagnosing issues if any at an early stage. This project will help the community to understand the seriousness of health and timely health check ups to keep track about their health status, so that one could save a life before it could be too late, and also awareness was created about breast cancer and cervical cancer amongst the women.

5 sets of Computer Desktop systems each were donated to Sathnur Govt School, Mandya and Govt School Induvalu, Mandya under "Jnana sethu", a Rotary District 3191 Grant Project. This project is aimed to help the Govt School children in rural areas where children can learn about the computers and its knowledge. This helps them to get hands on experience on the knowledge of computers. 5 Rotarians participated and around 87 children got benefited in Satnur Govt School, Mandya and around 61 children got benefitted in Govt School Induvalu, Mandya.

On July 26th, 2025, a Mental Health Awareness session was conducted for the students of Nele Foundation. This workshop was designed and conducted by Dr. Dikshita from NIMHANS to create awareness among students about mental health, reduce stigma, and equip them with tools to manage stress and emotions. The workshop included expert sessions, interactive activities, and open discussions. 85 students attended the workshop. This was lead by Past President Rtn. Shivakumar D, President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy and YSD Rtn. Vishwakumar.

On July 24th, 2025, a Mental Health Awareness session was conducted for the students of Camlin English School, Vijayanagar. Morning session was conducted for the students. 200 students attended the morning session and 32 teachers attended the afternoon session.

The CSR School building project held today was indeed memorable. The program was very well planned and executed by both the management and the students. All the students - from the band group, anchors, performers etc., were at their best. Their enthusiasm was clearly visible. At the end of it they extended their hospitality with sumptuous sattvic lunch made with home grown vegetables and wound up home made delicious dessert.

Our deep gratitude to the Brilliant Printers CEO Anil Rego and our own Rtn PP Nanjunda for making this worthy project a reality.

Special thanks to all the Rotarians who attended today's meet.

Another note worthy aspect was the enthusiasm displayed by Rtn Eshika throughout the program.

On the occasion of Doctor's Day on July 1st at Blood Donation Camp was organised at Aaditya Auto Components off Magadi Road. Employees participated in full enthusiasm including our Rotarian Rakesh and Annet of Rtn. Satish Agrahara and totally 50 units of blood was collected to mark the beginning of the rotary year. Director - Community Service Rtn. Sudhir Krishnamurthy handed over the Appreciatioin Certificate to the Proprietor of Aaditya Auto Components , Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru for their participation. 

on 21th September Uniforms were distributed to 80 children at Panchajanya Vidya Peeta Prouda Shale - Mathikere.

13.09.2022 – Rotary Seva Kendra is an inspirational centre for several needy women, who got training in tailoring and eventually found source of livelihood. 22 students were trained in Tazzle making. 

11.09.2022 -  Rotary Nele Vocational Training Centre has seen great partnership of two fabulous NGOs and helped hundreds of women, children and young alike. Rtn Ashok deligently executed the event. Rtn Ram Sheshu from Born to Win, an acclaimed trainer motivated the graduates. Innerwheel sisters Ann Hema and Ann Saraswathi guided the choreography. Graduates were given certificates, students of Nele showed their exemplary skill and talent. 

10.09.2022 – Blood Donation  and awareness camp, arranged at Brilliant Printers Pvt Ltd, Nelamangala. The President, Rtn Nanjunda, Rtn Hiremut, Rtn Ravishankar were part of the donation. 68 Units of blood was procured in the camp.

On 18th August " Pregnant women awareness and Nutrition camp" under community service was held at Government PHC, chord road centre. Dr.Adarsh addressed the Pregnant women and mothers of new born babies, where RBV distributed Nutrition powder for 25 pregnant women and Baby wraps and vitamin D drops for 30 new born babies. Also distributed bags with RBV logo.

RBV celebrated Independence day with the children of Manav Special School and Rehabilitation Centre. It was a memorable experience to be with the children who sang the invocation song and participated in the flag hoisting and also danced to some popular numbers. Large number of members participated. RBV donated provisions as well as some essential medicines on this occasion

A blood donation camp was organised at CNC India Tools & Services pvt ltd on 6th July,22. It saw good participation from their employees which resulted in 60 units of blood being collected at the end of the day. Led by our President Rtn. Ravishankar S,Community Services Director Rtn.Hiremath S also donated blood. This is the first of many to be organised this year.

Paediatric Open Heart Surgery  was performed at Jayadeva Hospital for two children Mahadeva Swamy -12 years, Teja 3 years 6 months which was sponsored by RBV and the incoming President has it in his plans to sponsor more numbers in the coming year. 

RBV has embarked on its most ambitious CSR project till date,titled “Namma Hemmeya Shaale”, "Shaala Abhivruddhi Abhiyaana" sponsored by Pixel Softek Pvt Ltd of PP Rtn. P.V. Rai & Rotary Foundation, , under the chairmanship of PP Rtn. Hemanth Bekal and led by Community Service Director Rtn. Shashi Mouli.The civil aspects were supervised by our own Rtn. Harish Ibrampur. Inauguration of the first phase was held on 18th June, 2022 Government School Sathnur and at Government School Kallahalli, Mandya.  followed by valedictory & Lunch at Hotel Lemon Grass near Mandya. 

Program consisted of handing over 2 Toilet Blocks and 2 toilet blocks at Sathanur and Kallahalli Government schools of Mandya District along with Desks,Water filters.Chief Guest to the event was MLA of Mandya South Mr. Srinivas. It was heartening to see the happiness on the faces of children, teaching staff and officials concerned as it was something essential which could make a big difference to the children which fitted with the objective of the whole initiative.

PP Rtn. D Shivakumar initiated the water purifier plant project and computer handing over project at Tumkur. PP Rtn. PV Rai sponsored the said computers. Peace Scholar of 2020 from USA North Carolina Rotary Peace Centre (now on a visit to Bangalore) accepted our request to witness a Rotary project by RBV.

A blood donation camp was organised at N-Rack Accessories in Nagarabhavi on 15th April and 32 units of blood was collected with liberal participation from employees and management of N-Rack along with few RBVians.

School Development CSR project Titled " Namma Hemmeya Shaale" -  at Sathnur Government High school, Mandya District got off to a good start with a guddali pooja on 13th April 2022. Then a visit to all other site locations Kallahalli, Channappana doddi and Hosa Budanur was also undertaken. Slated to be one of the biggest CSR projects ever undertaken by RBV is focused on school development especially in the rural areas as mandated by the CSR partner Pixel Softech of PP Rtn.P.V.Rai. It is expected to be spread over a few years where needy schools will be provided with a necessary infrastructure boost along with other teaching equipment.

It is another good news for RBV that our Rtn. C A Shashikumar has become Trade Commissioner for Laos. He received an appointment certificate from His Excellency Ambassador of Laos in India at a function held recently.

on 10th March on behalf of RBV a Sanitary Napkin Wending Machine along with one Sanitary Napkin Burning machine was donated to Government High School at Marenahalli. Thanks to contribution from Rtn. Rakesh & family Rs.15,000, Rtn. U shivakumar Rs.5,000 and Innerwheel Vijayanagar Rs.5,000 the project was executed. After the inauguration of the machine a talk by Innerwheel on Health and Hygiene to the girl children present was also arranged. The event was attended by Members along with Anns 

Pulse Polio NID 2022 -the Signature Project of Rotary was organized by RBV in its designation 3 centres at West of Chord Road, Hosahalli and Govindrajanagar on 27th February 2022. 
It commenced at 7 am wherein the volunteers were ferried to respective touch points from each centers. In all 400 volunteers were roped by the 3 centres for the NID campaign.

They were served breakfast, Lunch with water by RBV and each of the volunteers were also given Certificate of Appreciation by RBV through the centres.

A total of 6922 ( 101.3%), 5127 (101%), 6405 (100%) were vaccinated at Chord Road, Hosahalli and Govindarajanagar respectively.

NID campaign was successful due to large scale participation of Members with their Anns and participation from Inner Wheel members too.

Due to COVID there was a gap of almost 2 years, again RBV was in action during 2021-22 under the able leadership of Rtn. Mehul Shah, Distributed few blankets to needy, SSLC study materials were distributed SSLC students under Vidya Nidhi project and inaugurated the classroom which was renovated by RBV earlier.

RBV distributed 13 sets of study materials to SSLC students of Badamaranahalli Government School, Students of NELE( orphanage) and students of Marenahalli Government High School under the Vidya Nidhi project. Project cost being Rs.5,000

RBV supported withRs. 3 lakhs to Miss Deepa a B.Com student from Channarayapatna for her Cochlear surgery which was performed at Narayanaga Hrudayalaya. The surgery was successful and the patient is on the path of recovery. It was a another instance of RBVians rising to the occassion by donating liberally for a noble cause

RBV jointly with Rotary Ramnagara club donated 400 blankets to the needy at three different institutions for the aged and displaced.

RBV supported 8 children of Asha workers giving assistance to their education. A.G. Rtn. Nagarathna Chandran distributed the cheques to all students. Cost of the project 1,00,000

250 blankets were distributed by RBVians at different parts of the city to the needy on the night of 21st December. Good number of rotarians and rotractors joined the effort which was split into 5 teams who spread out in different directions in the middle of the night and distributed it to the needy.Rotarians Srinath, Krishnamurthy, Ketan Shah contributed to the nobel cause. It was indeed a statisfying experience to help the needy in times of need.

RBV donated Jackets and Solar lanterns to the Forest Personnel at Nagarhole Tiger Reserve on 4th December 2021. 30 Jackets and 2 Lanterns were presented to Forest Officer Mr. Naveen and other personnel  by President Rtn. Mehul Shah in the presence of members of RBV.   PP Rtn. Venkatakrishna coordinated the visit and rotarians contributed to the cause.
 

Our annual “Pashu Kirana” veterinary camp jointly with Rotary Bharatinagar concluded successfully on 28th November under the supervision of Dr. Magroob Hussain. It was one of the most successful camps with 200+ examinations and 100+ insemination being done. Attendance of a large number of rotarians added to the excitement at the Karkalli village.

A blood donation camp was organised by RBV on 27th November at Online Instruments (India) Pvt Ltd headed by our own Rtn. Mahesh Bellad at their corporate office premises at Indira Nagar. Enthusiastic employees including our Rotarians Mahesh Bellad and Rtn Dr. Mallikarjune Gowda donated blood and 45 units of blood were collected. Kudos to Rtn. Mahesh Bellad for this initiative in encouraging his employees to donate blood and for the excellent hospitality extended to the rotary members who were present during the camp.

Asha Chethana project is a hand holding project for Asha and Link workers of RBV managed pulse polio centres. During the first leg of the project on 23rd October at Chord Road PHC,  we distributed Ration kits to 20 Asha and 16 Link workers and 4 others staffs of PHC. Total 40 nos. Worth Rs.40000. Total 9 Rotarians participated during the distribution function.

Mrs. Asha P Kumar - Senior HR Manager - MARLABS ( Committee Member for CSR in MAARLABS) was the guest speaker at the virtual weekly speaker meeting on 6th October 2021. She explained the process of Team Work by involving the audience and also explained the process of how a project is chosen for CSR grant and the procedure further on. She also answered the queries raised by members and invitees who were present in good number

On 1st October 2021, RBV Distributed 100 School Bags and a UV Water Filter to Govt High School at Hale Budanur in Mandya District. Both were much needed by the children of the school and were very happy to receive the school bags and the teachers also appreciated gesture by  RBV let by CSD Shashi Mouli. Mrs. Chandrakantha - BEO was the chief guest of the event and Mrs. Sathyabhama Headmistress was also present along with Members of RBV who were present on the occasion

Vaccination Drive was organized by RBV jointly with BBMP at Grand Regency Hotel Rajajinagar on 17th September 2021 between 8.30 am and 2.30 am. Nearly 70 beneficiaries got benefit of the vaccination drive which was managed by Rotrators and Intractors apart from members of the club.

Rtn. Shashi Mouli, Community Service Director Donated a Wheel Chair to Ravindra, 52 married male, from the lower socio economic status who has been diagnosed with traumatic spinal cord injury, was admitted in NIMHANS. His upper & lower limbs are affected. An armrest removable wheel chair was donated to Ravindra.

A blood donation camp was organized at the Premises of our Rtn. Mahesh Bellad's Mahabell Industries Pvt Ltd on 28th July 2021 beween 2pm to 5pm. At the end the of camp 41 units of blood were collected thanks to the active participation of the employees of Mahabell Industries. 

1st day of Rotary year coinciding with the Doctor's saw a Health Camp being organized at Elder Care Centre of Dignity Foundation at Vijayanagar. 35 inmates benefitted from the General Health and Dental check up. Rtn Dr shreedhara and team, Dr. Ramaiah extended their professional help and  Dr. Merlin ( co-ordinator of Dignity foundation extended necessary help. It was attended by many members including few prospective Rotarians.

RBV family meet under the theme of ONAM NITE was a treat to watch. Highlight of the evening was the presence of Members of Rotary Malhar who gave of taste of ONAM with elegant dance performances along with Kerala cuisine which was relished by members. Today one more Rotarian Rtn. Vanaraj Shetty was inducted into the Rotary family. It was a evening to remember with highest attendance of over 100 Rotarian Families.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar, along with Inner Wheel of Bangalore celebrated Independence Day on 15th August at Manav Charities for specially abled children. The celebration started with the hoisting of the Indian Tricolour Flag, followed by singing of the Indian National Anthem, 'Jana Gana Mana' and Indian National Song, 'Vande Mataram', singing and dance performance from the children, concluded with the distribution of sweets to the children.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar organised a speaker session on the topic "Inspiring Minds" by Dr. Chaitanya Sridhar - a renowned Sports Psychologist, TEDx speaker, and author of “Elephant Wings to Freedom”. Dr. Sridhar brought a unique blend of psychology, spirituality, and ecological wisdom, drawn from her work with Olympians, elite athletes, and life experiences inspired by elephants and Mother Nature thereby explaining why Elephants have to be preserved.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar organised a Speaker session by Mr. T K Chandramouli on Wednesday, 30th July 2025, where he spoke on the charm, heritage and history of "Old Bangalore". It was an engrossing meeting with interesting titbits on Bangalore of the old.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar had its first Club Assembly at Vijayanagar Club, where 2 new members were inducted. The total strength has gone upto 65 members. Rtn. Shashidhar and Rtn. Raghavendra are the two new members who joined Rotary Vijayanagar Bangalore. Rtn. Shashidhar was our past Rotarian, Rtn. Raghavendra was a past Rotarian of Rotary Koteshwara. Rtn. Shashidhar is an Industrialist and Rtn. Raghavendra is a CA by profession.

1st Speaker Meeting of the Year draws full house PP Rtn. Shivakumar addressed the first meeting of the RY 2025-26 on 9th July at Muddappa Hall, Vijayanagar Club. It was an orientation talk on Rotary focussing on various facets. Addressing a packed hall, he dwelled on the history of Rotary its origin and growth and current form. He also gave an insight on RBV and its functioning. Quoting from various past RI presidents he gave insight on different facets of why it is beneficial to be a Rotarian. He underlined the Friendship, Fellowship and Service above Self as the cornerstone of RBV which symbolises the spirit of Rotary. His talk was crisp, witty and informative. Overall it was a great beginning for the year.

Rotary Year 2025-26 began on an auspicious note with a Pooja at Sankashtahara Ganesha Temple at RPC Layout in the presence of Members with family seeking divine blessings !!

Rotary Year 2023-24 Started off with the First Meeting being held in the presence of Lord Ranganatha at Sri Kailash Vaikunta Mahakshetra, Rajajinagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, by seeking his Divine Blessings. The Event was attended by 25 Rotarians, 4 Anns & 1 Annet. The Meeting Concluded with Breakfast

Family Meet for the month of September was held on 1st October on the theme "Dandiya Night" at Hotel Grand Regency. There was a cultural event with dance and music by Anns and Annets which were joined by members too. It was a celebration of Dasara with the RBV family. Participants were rewarded under the category : Best Dressed Couple, Best Dancer Annet etc., It was completely fun and frolic for which RBV is well known and it turned out to be yet another memorable evening.

Another highlight of the event was induction of new members Rtn. Sudhakar Jain. RBV warmly welcomes him to our fold

on 28th September, Mr. Ranganath Bharardwaj spoke on the topic " Unleashing your Potential" at Vijayanagar Club as a part of the Weekly meeting. Being an experienced speaker with vast exposure he lucidly explain the topic as to how one with few carefully taken steps can unleash the hidden potential and scale new heights.

14.09.2022 – Rtn Mahesh Bellad, our hero, was the weekly speaker. A very successful businessman and presently MD of a prestigious Company spoke on how an individual can benefit the rural segment. He showcased the school at his Habbur village which has been constructed by him where 1000 children from nearby villages study. He is committed to the cause of providing best of education to the rural poor and it was illuminating to see his cause and effort when he showcased the school.

07.09.2022 – Weekly meeting. – Mrs. Sunitha Umakanth, An expert from the fashion Industry graced the evening speakers meet at Muddappa Hall, Vijayanagar Club. Being involved in several social causes, she stressed on the social movement of Rotary which otherwise always shows a meticulously  organised effort  to achieve  multiple goals for a better society. 

27.08.2022 – FAMILY MEET. Onam bespeaks victory of Vamana the all Supreme, over Bali, a pious gaint and celebrated in Kerala. For RBVians, its much more than that, its time for fashion, dance, tradition and great food/SADHYA.  Anns were colourfully white showed their class in dance only to be overtaken over by Rotarians later on. Family meet marks the fellowship and friendship in true sense for all Rotarians

22.08.2022 – Joint weekly meeting hosted by Rotary Club of Bangalore with RBV and RBB at Rotary House of Friendship. Dr Taslimarif Saiyed, CEO & Director C-Camp, spoke on how Rorary can help start-ups succeed better. Speaker himself had been involved in a start-up promoting innovation in life sciences  and healthcare, in which currently start-ups have a great future. Many Rotarians apart from the President of RBV had the benefit of the event.

The first family meeting of the club was held at Robano Rajaji Nagar. It was a theme based event called as "Onam Nite" during which Anns performed dance related to Onam. The food which was served was also based on Onam cuisine with delicacies from Kerala which was relished by large number of members from the club who attended with their entire family

Talk by Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed - Enabler for boiscience and agriculture research, nurturing 300 start-ups. "Rotary can help start-ups succeed better" was held at Rotary House of Friendship on 22ndAugust. It was a joint meeting with Rotary Club of Bangalore. Speaker gave lot of insight into his research work which could be a game changer for the entire in healthcare. It was a enlightening listening to him
 

Our own Rtn. Purushotham Guruaj spoke eloquently on the Sutras for Leadership at the weekly meeting on 17th August at vijayanagar Club. He took the route of interactive mode thus involving the members who were present in good number. It as a lively, interesting and engaging meeting

Lord Ganesha is the God of ‘Akasha Thathva’. Akasha, a.k.a ‘Universe’ gives all the ‘Avakasha’, a.k.a ‘opportunities’. Hence we pray to the Lord of Avakasha to give us all the opportunities to Serve Humanity; so did our President Rtn Ravishankar on 01.07.2022. All the Rotarians shadowed by Anns and Annets were there to unequivocally pray to the Lord and support the President.  Releasing recycled cloth bags on the morning fellowship by the President and team amplifies a great beginning already. 

On 25th June, at Hotel Swathi, Rajajinagar, Ann Poonam Shah and Rtn. Mehul Shah hosted a “Thanksgiving Nite”. Thanking all those who made it a successful and memorable year he presented a memento to the members who were present with their family along with the board members and additional directors who were present. A special memento was awarded to Community Service Director Rtn. Shashi Mouli for his excellent performance in the avenue  along with a special memento for PP Rtn. P.V. Rai for his generous CSR contribution to the projects of the club. It was an evening to remember with fun and frolic. In return members complimented the President for a smooth sail in the RYE 2021-22.

At the Vijayanagar club on 20th June club assembly was organised. Voting for the DG elect of District 3192 was part of the agenda along with submission of plans by the incoming team headed by President Elect 2022-23 Rtn. Ravishankar S who elaborated his plans ahead. It also turned out to be an “Impressions Night” with Past Presidents, Avenue Directors, Members sharing their impressions on the best moments of the current year as well as things which needed improvement. Overall it was noted it was a good year for RBV both in terms of projects and fellowship.

Annual Family picnic was organized on 11th June at Kaadgal Resort on Kanakapura road. It was attended by members with their family in large numbers. It was a day filled with fun and frolic and fellowship and enjoyment for all those who attended the same.

It was an interesting talk on “Vastu” by Dr.Selvraj who is a subject matter expert besides being a rotarian. He addressed the club members at Krishna Hall, Karnataka Engineer's Academy Basaveshwaranagar on 1 June 2022. Dr. Selvaraj explained the concept of Vastu and how it works and benefits by giving lot of examples from his personal experience. He also answered queries from the members who were present in good numbers.

Family meet for the month of May was held at Hotel Nisarga. It was attended by well known noted personality Belur Ramamurthy.

On 18th May RBV hosted “Entertainment Evening” for Rotary families of Rotary Vijaynagar, Rotary City Centre, Rotary Malgudi, Rotary Hoysala Prime, Rotary Tavarekere at Pool Side Hall at Vijayanagar Club. It was a packed event with families from all clubs present in good numbers who enjoyed Housie, some melodious songs and Lucky Dip prizes. Entertainment was organised by Rtn.Nageshwar Vijapur - District Club Services Director 21-22 ( Vijayanagar AG 22-23)

On 6th April, Rtn. Bhagwan Jaju gave an insightful talk on the topic “ Choice of Grans and Way to Good Health” at Vijayanagar Club. Elaborating with examples he emphasised that one should not be too cost conscious especially when it comes to the grains which forms part of our main diet. He said it is better to spend on the best as it acts as insurance against disease in the long term he cautioned. Being a rice and pulses trader himself he was able to explain to the queries raised by Rotarians.

On 30th March 2022 at Vijayanagar Club Rtn.P P Sunil Telkar gave a lively talk on International Fellowships in Rotary. Quoting from his personal experience as a Rotary Bike Riders Fellowship group he explained about the various other fellowship groups which exist in Rotary and how they function. He said the Rotary Fellowship group experience is unique and more enjoyable than the experience one gets by being just a Rotarian.

Ann's Nite was the theme of Family Night of March 2022 which was held at ROBANO on Saturday 26th March. Anns participated in various games which were conceived and conducted by Rtn. Sridhar V in his inimitable style. It was a fun filled night with participation from Anns who were present in good numbers followed by dinner.

On 16th March PDG Rtn. Nagendra S spoke on the topic “ Leading Change in Rotary” at Vijayanagar Club. He said as change is constant in life similarly in Rotary also there’s an emphasis in realising that change is inevitable, hence focus is towards Leading the Change in Rotary. He highlighted that even Paul Harris in the early part of last century had observed that constant change is inevitable and more so in Rotary hence Rotary has to prepare itself to manage the Changes. He observed that dynamics of membership, format of clubs, style of functioning is constantly undergoing change and one has to observe and adapt the best practices by constant observation.  Using his vast experience and exposure he answered to the queries which were raised by Rotarians who attended in good number

on 9th March a meeting was organized inviting suggestions and for discussing plans to conduct Dr.Rajakumar Nite on April 23rd towards raising funds for the club activities by Fund Raising Event Chair PP Rtn.Venkateshwaran A. P. He elaborated the format of the program and the ticket prices and also urged members to use this opportunity raise funds from their contacts. Various suggestions were received from members present and the process kickstarted with the conclusion of the meeting

Manjunath Prasad, Rtn. Shashi Mouli, Ann Veena and Ann Ramya added to the joy. Their numbers were fully enjoyed and cheered by members who were present in good number. PP Rtn. He explained lucidly about the definition, origin and phenomenal growth of this digital currency which has caught fancy of many recently. He also replied to thr volley of questions with elan

It was time for fun, frolic and fellowship as 19 RBVians utilized the opportunity of outstation board meeting at Nagarhole Tiger Reserve to bond and enjoy the fun and fellowship. Itinerary included Forest Safari early morning on 4th December  followed by a dip in the water at Iruppu Falls and Board meeting in the evening and Jacket Distribution project. Elephants, Forest Pig, Hoards of Deer & Bison, Mongoose, birds, peacock were seen and Rtn. Dhiren Mehta, Rtn. Mahesh Sambad, Rtn Nandagopal had the fortune of spotting elusive Tiger too. It was a memorable trip to be together deep in the forest.

RBVians with their anns and annetts wore the ethnic wear and donned their dancing shoes to match steps to popular numbers at “Dandiya Night” which was theme of Family Meet on Saturday 27th November at ROBANO, Rajajinagar. 

It was a pleasant sight to watch rotarians, anns and annetts enjoying the night followed by special cuisine as part of the dinner. The arrangements were personally overseen by our President. All those who present felt after a long time the family meet was getting back to the old times for which RBV is renowned for.

Rtn. R.K. Bhaskar presented a "Virtual Tour & Travel Experience of Cambodia & Vietnam" at the weekly speaker meeting on 10th November 2021 at Vijayanagar Club. He narrated elaborately with beautiful pictures and shared his travel experience of visiting Cambodia and Vietnam.

On 20th October 2021, the weekly meeting was addressed by PP Rtn. D. Shivakumar who presented to the members abou t the "School Safe Drinking Water Project at 22 schools" done by RBV under Global Grant. He explained about the origin of the idea, process, procedure, fund raising, identification of school, Installation of RO units and Mandatory Training Program.  

On September 29, 2021 at Vijayanagar Club, at the weekly speaker meeting,  Dr. Raghavendra P.S., Founder & CEO of Chiseelcraft, AI Mentor of Change, NITI Aayog, L&D Consultant Trainer, Speaker, Coash, Film & TV Actor, Radio Anchor, Author, Composer & Singer spoke on "HAPPITUDE ; DECODING HAPPINESS" which is also the title of his to be published book. He defined happiness and then posed the question on what keeps one happy while giving his take on the same. He also replied to lot of the queries raised by members who were present in large numbers

"Humour Nite" was conducted by our Rtn. PP Shivakumar U, Rtn. Sridhar V and Rtn. Prabhushankar N on 25th September Saturday at Hotel Nisarga Vijayanagar. After three part fun filled narration by each of the Rotarians, Lucky Ann was announced followed by cake cutting and fellowship and Dinner. It was well attended by members and their families.

on 15th September, weekly meeting was held at Vijayanagar club, which was addressed by our own Rotarian Dhiren Mehta. He spoke on the topic "Maintenance of Four Wheeler" in which he explained about the important aspects to be kept in mind in the for better maintenance of four wheelers by giving practical tips. He also patiently explained the queries raised by the members who were present in good number

Weekly speaker meeting was addressed by our own Rtn. P Gururaj on 1st September 2021 at Vijayanagar Club o the topic  Signifiance of Number '9'. The meeting threw light on the signifiance and importance of number 9 right from ancient times not only with the Indus Valley Civilization but also some of the later civilizations. Lot of ground work and research which went into the presentation was evident in the depth of coverage. The meeting was well attended by Rotarians and also it was made available via zoom. 

2nd meeting of the Board of Directors was organized at Muddappa Hall Vijayanagar Club. Various plans and programs of the club were presented by avenue directors and were discussed. The board meeting was hosted by Rtn. Nandagopal K - Vice President.

Weekly Speaker Meeting was organized on 11th August 2021 at Vijayanagar Club under the topic " KNOW YOUR CLUB"  and it was addressed by Rtn. PP P.V. Rai who apprised the audience of the legacy of RBV and systems and procedures which needs to be followed for the successful conduct of the club. 1st Weekly Speaker meeting for the Rotary year 2021-22 was organized at Hotel Nisarga. Mr. Mahesh Babu, Managing Director of Bio Sol Aqua & UFO Biosol India Pvt Ltd spoke on the topic "Polluted Water treatment by Bioremediation. He gave insights in the method of water purification through enzymes and offered to take cleaning up of Pooluated Vrushabavati in collaboration with RBV with help from like minded organizations. Meeting was well attended by members who asked insightful question to understand the topic better

The customary pooja was organised at the Sankashtahara Ganapathy Temple, Hampinagara on 7th July early morning. President and his avenue directors along with Past Presidents and Rotarians and Prospective Rotarians participated in the pooja which was followed by Sumptuous breakfast.

DISHA is a career program series for the school children at Dev Matha Central School, Vidyaranyapura, conceived and conducted by our own VSD Rtn. Purushotham Gururaj as Mentor & Trainer. Focus is on the job profile and prospects in the year 2030 which would help the children to plan their path ahead. This is one of the most widely received programs of Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar. Certificates were distributed to the students. The students participation was excellent. 76 Students from 9th and 10th standard participated in this program. It was a very interactive session with enthusiastic participation from students. Lots of questions from the students indicate the interest created in this session.

I am a winner (aka  RYLA) is a Motivational, Personality, Communication Skill Development Programme conducted in Govt High School, Chickpete organised by Rotary Ullal with Rotary Lakeside and Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar as the co-hosts. It was a wonderful and delightful programme where 70 students comprising 0f students from 8th, 9th, and 10th standards had attended. The students were from very low economic backgrounds but their zeal and participation was laudable. It was very pleasing to note their Dreams in life. This was well coordinated by Rtn Madhavi Sreekanth, the dynamic president from Rotary Bengaluru Ullal. Rtn Madhavi, Rtn. Purushottam Gururaj, Rtn. Sneha and Rtr. Mohd Bilal attended the programme.Rtn. Sneha presented the school with a  few copies of the book "May my lessons be your learnings".

'Utkarsha' was conducted at BNM Pre University College organised by the Rotary District 3191, hosted by Rotary South End and co-hosted by Rotary Lakeside and Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar. Utkarsh is a holistic program for students  specially designed and curated to motivate them before exams and distress them. It involves Japanese meditation and Vedic stress management. The session highlighted on How to develop Positive Energy during Exam. Around 160 students from 2nd PUC attended the program. Rtn. Purushottam Gururaj took the first session on How to stay Positive during Exam. Rtn. Purushottam Gururaj, Rtn. Nandhini, Mrs Rashmi, Rtn. Madhavi attended the programme.

It was a very interactive session with enthusiastic participation from students. Certificates were distributed to the students for participation.

Beautician Course was inaugurated at Rotary Nele on 29th September in collaboration with Spin Academy. This course is gaining popularity due its earning potential post completion.

26.08.2022 – It was a memorable day as the prestigious event of RBV, ‘PRAGATHI PATHA’, Placement cum Job recruitment Drive held at the RC College of Commerce and Management Campus. The event attracted unprecedented 7000+ aspirants from nearly 50 government degree colleges in and around Bangalore especially from Rural areas. 200+ recruitment companies which included Banks, FMCG companies, Logistic companies, Leading Automobile Showrooms, ITBT companies gave job offers to 1824 candidates and 2237 were shortlisted. Event got media coverage in print and electronic media and the Department of Collegiate Education hailed it as one of the biggest events of its kind. Rtn. Nandagopal K spearheaded the event made RBV proud.

Pragati Patha job fair was organized at Govt R.C.College, Race Course Road in association with Rotary club of Bangalore on Friday 26th August. The event attracted nearly 7000 graduates from various government colleges in and around Bengaluru. They were interviewed by over 200+ companies by nearly 375 HR Recruiters. At the end of the day 1824 were given offer letters and 2237 were shortlisted. It turned out to be one of the biggest of such events in the state of Karnataka and Rotary was proud to be part of this recruitment cum placement drive.
 

Catching them young always yields better results for a bright future. Rtn Bhimsen, Director, Youth Services initiated the workshop/orientation  project for students of Sri Siddaganga School on how to ‘plant’ for a greener world with active help of Vijay Nishanth a noted environmentalist. 

Rotary Nele Vocational Training Centre (RNVTC) has been imparting vocational training for the needy to make them self sufficient. Tailoring skill training has been one of them. The beneficiaries showcased their beautiful creations of the tailoring section recently.

on 23rd February 2022, a training  Program on Entrepreneurship development and Incubation for startups for the UG and PG students of First Grade Degree College at Vijayanagar to support and enable entrepreneurship, start-up culture and opportunities and financial support from MSME was organized.Eminent speakers spoke on the various aspects on the occasion to a packed audience. 

on 23 February 2022, an "Incubation Center for Start-Up and "Entrepreneurship" for students of First Grade College at Vijaynagar  was inaugurated by the President of RBV along with Principal of the college. In this initiative Rotary will support the students with Entrepreneurship development. faculty development programs, Industry institution interaction, Innovation Cell, Interships, Research Projects, Startup Mentoring for UG and PG students of Government College

More students have been added to the on-going tailoring training at Rotary Seva Kendra (RSK) at Venkateshwaranagar. Total 30 stidents are being trained in 3 batches

At RBV's Vocational TrainingCentre at Laggere certificates were distributed to 90 students who successfully completed skill training in tailoring and computer

RNVTC conducted one month foundation  Beautician Course for young women of slums of Laggere and Lakshmidevinagar.  10 young women were beneficiaries of the course. Ms S.Divya helped participants learn basics of beautician processes. The course was free and the trainer was given a nominal honorarium for her classes for entire month and it ended on 20th November 2021. President Rtn Mehul Shah paid a visit which the training was going on, Trainer informed that with a nominal investment and a few spare hours at home, each trainee can supplement family income by 15000 to 25000 per month. 
 

A Stem and Robotics workshop was conducted for the students of Government Girls High School, Peresandra, Chikkaballapura Taluk. It is a CSR initiative of Goldman Sachs for Government High School Children where students are exposed to various tools and technologies in STEM. Program consisted of hands-on-training with exposure to Various Robotic Models, build program, test and group activity. 60 students who attended the workshop were engrossed and got good exposure. Rtn. Bhimsen led the project along with President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy, Rtn Anil Kumar, Mr. Shashikiran and YSD Rtn. Vishwakumar.

Rotary Bangalore Vijaynagar's flagship project VijayaChitra - annual Inter School Painting Competition at Siddaganga High School on 30th August 2025 saw participation of 1100 children from 14 schools including two schools for specially abled children. Children from Class 1 to Class 10 showcased their mastery on the theme "Festival & Celebrations". Manjunath won 1st place for 8th std - 10th std category, Anagha won the 1st place for 5th std - 7th std category and Chandan won 1st place for 1st std - 4th std category. Their works were evaluated by the Jury composed of Saakshi Chouhan from Karma Centre, Sanjeeva Rao Guthi and Gopal Kammar from Chitrakala Parishat. Rtn. Sudhakar Jain was the Program Chair and the event was well attended by Rotarians, Inner Wheel Club of Vijayanagar and Rotaract Club of Vijayanagar had collaborated for the event.

On 24th August, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar sponsored the Installation of the Office Bearers of Rotaract Bangalore Vijayanagar. ELEVATE - This is the 37th Installation for Rotary Year 2025-2026. Rtr. Aditya B S was installed as the new President and Rtr. Jayalakshmi as the new Secretary by Rtn. Rtr. Karthik Chikmath, District Rotaract Representative. Many District and Zonal Rotaract Representatives were present during the ceremony. President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy, President Elect Rtn. Anil Kumar, IPP Rtn. Shashimouli, YSD Rtn. Vishwakumar, Past President Shivakumar D, CSD Rtn. Ashok Mahadevan, Secretary Rtn. Sudhir K, Rtn. Bhagawandas Jaju, Rtn. Chinmai and Rtn. Eshika were present.

Team for the current year at the Interact Clubs of Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar in various schools were installed by the Rtn. Sudharshan Reddy President of Vijayanagar in the presence of Youth Service Director Rtn. Vishwakumar D. Mentor for Youth Services PP Rtn. Hemant Bekal gave orientation to the team members and staff of the respective Schools. A number of projects have been planned during the involving the Interact Clubs. There was also a certificate distribution programme for the 10th standard toppers of each school. 

On July 2nd a Stem and Robotics workshop was conducted at Govt school Hosaguddadahalli. It is a CSR initiative of Goldman Sachs for Government High School Children where students are exposed to various tools and technologies in STEM. Program consisted of hands-on-training with exposure to Various Robotic Models, build program, test and group activity. 70 students who attended the workshop were engrossed and got good exposure. Rtn. Bhimsen led the project in the presence of President, Rtn. Srinath, YSD Rtn. Vishwakumar.

On account of Children's day, we Rotarians visited Anganawadi just below Rotary Seva Kendra and distributed Soft toys, Puzzles and paint materials for drawing. Thanks to Rtn. PP Ketan Shah and PP Rtn. Nandagopal for the support 💐💐🙏
 

It was  an extremely effective and enjoyable "I AM A WINNER" program that was administered at KTSV Girls College , Vijayanagar.About 130 students were entreated to this wonderful motivational program in 5 different rooms. on 5th July 2023 at STEM and Robotics Workshop was oragnised at Government School Govindarajanagar. Focus was on 9th and 10th standard children.  The workshop included hands-on training on various aspects of robot building, including assembly, coding and testing. The students exhibited a remarkable level of interest and curiosity through the program. About 60 students participated in this even organised in assciation with Goldman Sachs. Also present were President, Youth Service Director and Senior Rotarians apart from the team from Goldman Sachs

STEM & Robotics Programme for Government High School Students of Attiguppe, Vijayanagar. This project was oranised with the support of Goldman Sachs. During the program the young children of the school were exposed to Robotics and it was followed by a wonderful program of team building and motivation oranised by Goldman Sachs Team. Present on the occasion was Rtn. Ashok Mahadevan, Youth Service Director, Rtn. Bhimsen. Program was enjoyed by the children who were also served sumptuous meals.

In continuation of joint collaboration with Goldman Sachs, CSR Rural Workshop on "Mentoring Rural Engineering Students was conducted on September 23rd to the students of Government Engineering College, Ramnagara. They were mentored on soft skills such as communication and presentation skills, corporate etiquette and culture, interview skills, resume building, career goals, group activities et by Rtn. Vidyanag Moka International Motivational Guru, Author, Leadership Coach, Educationist.

The event was chaired by Rtn. Prabhushankar Rotarians including Youth Service Director Rtn. Bhimsen participated in the event

VijayaChitra - Painting Competition for School Children, a flagship project of RBV was organised successfully at Sarvagna School on 18th September. Organised under the chairmanship of Rtn. Anil Kumar, the competition attracted 400 students from school in and around Vijayanagar.

The flagship event was organised after a gap of three years due to covid, had judges from Chitrakala Parishad who selected the prizes in 4 categories viz., 1-4th Standard, 5-7th Standard, 8-10th standard and Special Children. The theme of this year was "Our Environment, My Role". Top three prizes for each category and participation certificates were provided to all children

The event had support and participation of Rotaract and Innerwheel Club of Vijayangar and was attended by the good number of RBVians and once again proved to be a winner.
 

05.09.2022 – Teachers day celebration at Sarvajna School Vijayanagar. Day is celebrated across the country to celebrate the birth of former president Dr S Radhakrishnan, who was an acclaimed scholar, apart from being a great teacher. The day is observed to celebrate the contributions made by teachers to society. Three teachers from Sarvajna School and one from Manav Special School were honoured by President Ravishankar, accompanied by the First lady Ann Shailashree and PP Rtn K T Shetty.  Rtn Shashi Mouli, Rtn Nageshwar and Rtn Mahesh applauded the celebration

Workshop on IOT, AI and Industry 4.0 @ Govt Polytechnic Ramanagara was organized on 29th July. ,President addressed the students before the session,Principal and staff of the college were also present.there were 60 students and 5 staff members attended the workshop,10 volunteers from GS ,we have received an excellent feedback from students and staff of the college ..
 

As a part of RBV’s continued association with Goldman Sachs for various projects, this year’s first project “STEM & Robotics workshop for government school children of RPC Layout was held on 8th July with good participation of children. STEM education and awareness programs help children to build next-generation innovators an help to pursue careers in technical education, especially for underprivileged children.

RYLA session at Government Engineering College, Ramanagar was organized on 10th June between 11am to 4 pm. It was addressed by Youth Service Director Rtn.S Hiremath and our rotarians Dr. Mallikarjune Gowda and Rtn. Prabhu Shankar 

Topics covered during the RYLA session included Communications Skills, Personality Development, Team Work, Leadership Skill Development. The student who attended heard with rapt attention and were benefited from the excellent talks

2 Programs for High School Children of Nele Homes, MARGHAM Career Counselling along with I AM A WINNER Motivational workshop, facilitated by Margham Team, RID 3190 was organised on 11th May at Rotary Nele Vocational Training Centre Career guidance and Born to Win programs at Nele were unique. Margham team started the new academic year with shelter home children. Dist Margham team, Rtn Varalakshmi Balaji & facilitators made the program effective through inspiring inputs to students.

Distribution of Dictionaries was undertaken by YSD Rtn. Hiremath S on 7th April, under the guidance of CSD Rtn.Shashi Mouli. BBMP High School in Bhairaveshwara Nagar, Kanaka High School Shivananda Nagara, Government High School at Marenahalli,Government Middle School in Attiguppe and Government High School Attiguppe were covered in this round. More schools shall be covered in due course

Two drives of free vaccination during peak time Covid Wave 2 was organized by RBV at Hotel Grand Regency. In the second drive about 180 members of the public were given free vaccination of whom majority were youth during September 2021

RBV celebrated Polio day with the Interact Club of Vijayanagar.  PP Rtn Umesh and Rtn Prabhu Shankar also joined in the celebration along with YSD Rtn. S. Hiremath.Interact Members carried a public awareness campaign about Polio. 

Installation of Interact Club of Bangalore Vijayanagar was held on 5th September at Grand Regency Hotel in the presence of Rtn. Mehul Shah, President of RBV and Rtn. PP Umesh P, District Interact Committee Chair. 

33rd Installation of Rotaract Club of Bangalore Vijayanagar was held on 5th September at Grand Regency Hotel by Rtn. Mehul Shah, President of RBV in the presence of Rtn. PP Umesh P, District Interact Committee Chair and Club Members and Rotractors from other clubs of Bangalore. During the installation the theme poster "Change Begins with You" was also unveiled.

RBV celebrated the 75th Independence  with the children of Rotary Narendra Nele and Nivedita Nele. The function was well attended by our Rotarians & families. President Rtn. Mehul R Shah hoisted the flag and greeted the children on the occasion. Rtn. PP Venkatakrishna gave a special speech emphasising on the importance of the day and the flag.

Children of Narendra Nele & Nivedita Nele will presented cultural activities on the occasion. Winners of the Essay Writing Competition were presented prizes by Rotarians.  Archana got First Prize in Essay writing Competition for Girlswas honoured by Rtn Prabhushankar N. Dattu Kumar got First Prize in Essay writing Competition for boys was honoured by Rtn Nandagopal K Anitha Received First prize for Drawing Competition for Girls was honoured by Rtn. Dr. Mallikarjune Gowda. Selva received first place in Boys Drawing Competition and was honoured by the President Rtn. Mehul R Shah. 

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar had an Inter District Joint meeting on 20th August, 2025 with Rotary Bangalore West, Rotary District 3192. The purpose of the project was to exchange ideas on many project and its impact to beneficiaries, and how joint projects can be taken forward. The guest speakers were Rtn. Dr. Rajesh MS from Rotary Bangalore West who presented National Association of Blind and their humongous activities and Past President Rtn. P V Rai from Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar spoke on the benefits of collaboration and joint projects. Flag was exchanged between both the clubs.

Our Community Service Director Rt. Ashok Mahadevan who is currently in the USA visited Rotary Club of Orlando and exchanged flag after attending their meeting. This becomes the third flag exchange with an overseas club, a great start on the International Services Front.

This club is concentrating more on projects and 100 PHF. They also have regular speaker meetings. Our club activity video was displayed in the meeting and was well received and appreciated.. 2. Rotary club Lake Union President - Rtn. Evan Jacobs. They meet every Friday breakfast meeting at 7.15 to 8.30am. Here also they do follow happy bucks , here they will have physical meeting along with online . So that some members will join online. They also have regular speaker meets. In both places, they did not talk much about projects done. Each avenue directors talks about their next week activity in one or 2 lines. And major time is given to speaker. After prayer, all read 4-way test loudly.

Valedictory Program of Mandatory Training of Teachers of 22 Project Schools under GG18772225 was held on 29th October 2021 at Hotel Nisarga which was presided over by DGN Rtn. Udaykumar Bhaskara. Earlier the training program was conducted by PDG Rtn. K.S. Nagendra, DRFC Rtn. Bhagwan with a talk on Stress Management by Dr. Padmakshi and Technical Session by Dr. Veena. At the Valedictory participating schools and sponsors and contributors from RBV were  also honoured.

LEAD-25-AIM high a Rotary Conference was organised on a massive scale with 14,000 Rotarians attending from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal on 23rd and 24th August 2025. Rotary International President Rtn. Francesco Arezzo addressed 3000+ Rotaractors at LEAD 25. There were various sessions by Gaur Gopal Das, V Narayanan, ISRO Chairman, and PHF Dr. Kamal Hassan was honored. 250 Rotary,250 Rotaract, 250 Interact Clubs were inducted, 100+ service Projects worth Rs.200+ crores , launch of 100 pink autos through 100 Single Women drivers, 100,000 Sq. Ft. Rotary House of Friendship with Rotary Experience Exhibits were the highlights of LEAD 25 with Dy.CM and Education Minister as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour PP Rtn. Nandagopal and PP Rtn. Hemanth Bekal from RBV attended this programme.

RO drinking water was installed at Priyadarshini Seva Kendra School Halasuru under the ongoing Global Grant drinking water Project of providing safe drinking water to the needy schools - 15th July 2021

RBVians participated in the Youth Service ICGF - Yuvotsava on 24th September at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium. Highlight was the presentation by RBVians Rtn PP Hemant Bekal who is the Director in the District for Youth Service. Besides our members RBV had sponsored few Rotaractors also to participate in the ICGF.

It is a matter of pride that our Rtn. Manjunath Prasad was awarded by Mr. Jaganath ZM along with MINI PE, MD, RMs mktg, RMs CLIA at the Zonal Convention at Visakhapatnam.

No stranger to awards and accolades, our PP Rtn. P V Rai added another feather into his illustrious cap when he was adjudged as the Best Zonal Governor at the recently concluded Changemakers Puraskaar Annual District Awards.

Rotary Table Tennis League, CHANGE MAKERS CHAMPIONSHIP was held on 18th June which was open for Rotarians, Anns, Rotractors, Annets, Interactors held at Checkmate Table Tennis Academy Sahakarnagar. Our Rtn. Satish Agrahar won the Singles Event as it has become a habit for him. Vijayachakra congratulates him on this feat. It was also notable that Annet Sagar Agrahar was the runner up in Rotary children's category.

SANJHI the 46th district conference of RID 3190 was launched at this year's District Conference Jashn at Chamara Vajra at Palace Grounds on 16th April.Scheduled to be held at the same venue on January 21 and 22nd 2023 will be the last ever conference of RID 3190 since 3190 is being bifurcated from the Rotary year 2023-24.

Another important significance of this district conference is that our PP Rtn. P.V.Rai will be the conference Chair hence a matter of pride for RBV. At Jashn, this year’s District Conference, Conference Chair PP Rtn. P.V. Rai unveiled the logo of the conference along with other details in presence of DGE Rtn. After a gap of a few years, a Fundraising event titled NEENE RAJAKUMARA was jointly undertaken by RBV and Rotary Club Yelahanka at Chowdiah Hall on Saturday 23rd April. It was a tribute to Appu Puneeth Rajkumar and Dr. Rajkumar through a careful selection of their evergreen hits.

Fundraising is a tricky process with ebbs and flows during the course of its execution. Our fundraising was no exception, started with a spark then meandered through with a lull with many anxious moments and fervent pleas for contribution and participation by the Fundraising Chair PP Rtn. Venkateswaran A P, to end with a bang garnering highest ever funds (close to Rs. 40 lakhs) to RBV

Badminton is a favourite of RBV and it was proved again at the RI Dist 3190 Badminton Tournament which was organised by IFBR on Sunday 10th April 2022 at YuVe Champions Academy, Bangalore. Pair of PP Rtn.Nanjunda Poojary and Rtn. Vivekananda were winners in the 55+ plus category and Rtn. Rakesh D.R. also won the honours in his category. Congratulations to the winners and may the winning ways continue.

Recently President Rtn.Mehul R Shah has been awarded as the outstanding President in Zone C and RBV got the 3rd prize in the “Rethink Plastic Competition”

Hearty Congratulations to our Rtn. Satish Agrahar was the Runner Up at the Open Veteran Single Table Tennis Event at Bangalore on 19th March . He was also the Runner up at the Mahashivratri tournament conducted at Sahakarnagar jointly by Checkmate TT club and Rotary Lakeside club

It is another good news for RBV that our Rtn. C A Shashikumar has become Trade Commissioner for Laos. He received an appointment certificate from His Excellency Ambassador of Laos in India at a function held recently.

Though expected it is heartening that our PP Rtn. Nanjunda Poojary was Runner up in Single and Doubles in under 55+ category at the 3rd Karnataka State Masters Games held at Udupi. It was organised by Masters Games Association Udupi District on 12 & 13 March He continues his winning streak displaying his passion for the game.

It was installed by RI Director Rtn Dr Mahesh Kotbagi concurrent with the Mitratva ICGF Club Service at Palace grounds Bengaluru.
